Insider Access : South Korea by Belle Travel Co
Insider Access - South Korea explored.
I realize South Korea might not be at the top of everyone’s travel bucket list, but having just retured from my first trip there, I’m here to add it to yours! It's vibrant, packed with life, and offers a fantastic mix of fun cities, stunning nature, and the best skincare products around. Plus, it’s less touristy and more affordable than Japan.
Because luxury travel isn’t about spending more—it’s about knowing more. The old-school travel model adds layers of middlemen and inflated costs, making high-end experiences feel out of reach. But when you have the right connections, exotic adventures become more accessible.
Belle Travel was created to disrupt the outdated travel agency model, giving you insider access, VIP perks, and the best rates—without the unnecessary markups. We believe travel should feel effortless, personal, and designed around experiences, not just transactions.
SEOUL - The heart of South Korea
Seoul is a lively city that beautifully blends the old with the new. One of the highlights was visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace at night—it was absolutely magical. Another was staying at Nostalgia Hanok hotel, which perfectly combined traditional charm with modern comfort.
The nightlife is a blast, especially the karaoke bars. The dining scene is incredible, too; there is crazy street food and upscale restaurants serving delicious Korean BBQ. I spent hours wandering around the weird and wonderful street food stalls. I even took a cooking class where I learned to ferment my own soy sauce and make kimchi—such a unique experience!
Longevity and beauty are huge here, with tons of treatments available to help you relax and rejuvenate. And don’t forget shopping for Korean skincare products—I filled my suitcase for half the price you’d pay anywhere else. If you’re interested in hearing about some of the other aesthetic treatments I had done - just ask ;)
BUSAN - Sparkling Harbor City
From Seoul you can jump on the super-fast and incredibly comfortable bullet train and in two hours you’re in the city of Busan. This coastal city is known for its beautiful harbor and incredible seafood. Haeundae Beach is perfect for lounging, and the Jagalchi Fish Market is a must-visit for fresh seafood. I loved exploring modern art galleries that showcase local talent, and the colorful temple by the sea was beautiful.
Taking a boat ride around the harbor gave me a fresh perspective of the skyline and coastline. The food scene is also fantastic, with plenty of options to keep you entertained. Busan really has a mix of art, culture, and delicious eats. From your room at the Park Hyatt Busan, you can see it all.
JEJU ISLAND - Nature’s Paradise
Last but not least, Jeju Island is pure paradise. This Korean island is a one hour flight from either Seoul or Busan. Known for its volcanic landscapes and lush greenery, it’s a must-see. One of the coolest things I experienced were the old women who dive to the ocean floor to harvest seafood— wild to watch these amazing in the sea and a true testament to the island’s rich culture.
For those who love the outdoors, there’s a walking path that circles the entire island, offering breathtaking views. I stayed at the JW Marriott Jeju, and it was absolutely fantastic! The eclectic design and ocean views made for an unforgettable experience. I swear I can still taste the local tangerines—the best I’ve ever had.
